Keynotes:
Monday Night Lights
Zach came to New Orleans the season after Katrina. This talk focuses on growing into his new role as a rookie in the NFL, while the city he arrived in rebuilt from one of the biggest disasters this country has ever seen. A city far from defeated, Zach draws a strong parallel between the growth of the team and the New Orleans community in the season following Katrina- notably, the Monday night football game against Atlanta. He shares his observations of the skills he witnessed from both players and members of the community that fostered growth and innovation in times of unbelievable setbacks and how to apply those skills to foster innovation and growth in business. Lucky Number 7 “I have seen your tape… you are terrible,” the words Zach heard as an NFL hopeful and his first insight into just how much it would take to succeed in the football business. This talk focuses on breaking through the incorrect assumption that the current state of a business or individual is a predictor for where it has the potential to peak. As a 7th round draft pick, Zach talks about how he went from an under the radar college player to a dominant NFL Offensive Tackle with a 12-year career. While many players drafted in the seventh round see minimal field time, if any, Zach shares the skillset that helped him become the 2013 Saints Offensive Player of the Year and a five-time captain. The Dream Team This talk focuses on the challenges and importances of being a member of a team. Zach has experienced a Super Bowl winning season and painful losses along the way. He spent twelve seasons living the passion and the pressure of guarding one of the most beloved people in New Orleans: Drew Brees. Zach shares the formula for successful teamwork and the tools to knock down barriers to championship level success. As a five time captain voted by his peers, Zach is no stranger to motivation through exceptional leadership and has a strong understanding of bringing people in many different roles together. |
